Hoveton Hideaway
A home by the water’s edge
A Kitchen Rooted in Nature
This kitchen feels every bit as connected to its surroundings as the river that flows just beyond the garden. Framed by idyllic views and a constant play of natural light, the space was designed to echo its environment – calm, grounded, and quietly luxurious.
The brief was simple, yet deeply considered: create a kitchen that brought the outdoors in while offering comfort, practicality, and beauty in equal measure. From the very first design, we looked to the natural palette of the landscape itself – earthy greens, rich walnut tones, and subtle bronze reflections – as our guide. The result is a kitchen space that feels cocooning and serene, yet effortlessly elevated.
Natural Tones, Seamless Light
Olive-toned cabinetry paired with walnut accents to create depth and warmth, a palette that draws directly from the landscape just outside the window. The two floating shelves either side of the sink add a gentle rhythm to the wall, perfect for housing herbs and small treasures within easy reach – a delicate addition that balances practicality with softness.
Light is treated as an essential design element here. Bronze mirrored splashbacks, positioned on either side of the room, catch and refract daylight as it moves through the space, amplifying the glow and creating a sense of openness. The effect is quietly dramatic, grounding the kitchen in its natural context while giving it a subtle, elegant shimmer.
Layers of Luxury, Considered in Every Detail
Practicality and luxury meet in the carefully chosen finishes. The worktops – Silestone Ethereal Glow – bring together soft grey and golden veining that feels both contemporary and timeless, while a copper Quooker Flex tap and copper Rangemaster sink echo the warm metallic tones throughout the room. Beneath it all, wood-effect vinyl flooring adds texture and resilience, grounding the kitchen with the comfort of natural warmth underfoot.
Innovation comes in thoughtful touches: an automatic lifting wall unit allows the cabinetry door to rise with a light push, and close at the touch of a button, offering effortless access to everyday essentials – whether that’s a favourite coffee mug or spices for supper. Every finish, every mechanism, every decision was chosen to harmonise, to make the space not just beautiful, but deeply liveable.
This kitchen doesn’t compete with its surroundings – it reflects them. Cocooned by nature outside, enriched with warmth and character inside, it feels like an effortless continuation of the landscape. A place to cook, to gather, and to pause as the light dances across the river beyond.
Come and step inside…
Tucked by the water’s edge, our Hoveton Hideaway project is a kitchen shaped by its surroundings. Olive cabinetry, walnut tones and gentle bronze touches create a palette that feels calm, grounded and perfectly in tune with the riverside setting.
