“Chance is a fine thing . . .
You need luck once in a while. Gerald Giles was that stroke of serendipity. We passed it by chance. Its window display drew us in because we were planning a kitchen makeover at a flat in London. We were impressed – by the quality, the finish and the price. Best of all, it could be supplied and installed within 10 weeks, far faster than the alternative we’d been considering.
Fast forward a few months – we’d moved from near Hastings to a new home in Norwich – and we needed another kitchen makeover. Back to Gerald Giles. We took months to finalise the design with Phil, continually finding Nobilia refinements, innovative cupboard openings, drawer layouts, lighting, accessories, details.
Great support throughout: truly collaborative, infinitely patient. We’ve owned too many kitchens to mention but this is the absolute best. We love it. Two important points: Gerald Giles sells white goods and is competitive on price with its “never knowingly undersold” rival John Lewis across the road. So, we did the whole thing with GG: design, units, appliances.
And GG proved to be good in a crisis. The Diss stonemason company lined up to make our worktops abruptly stopped manufacture. Within a week Phil had a Norwich company supplying the same stone without a single day’s delay in the schedule.”

“We chose Gerald Giles to provide our new kitchen above other providers principally because they could provide a fitter who was actually prepared to do the rather difficult job rather than others who came and looked and then declined the work.
From the start we were very impressed with Gerald Giles and particularly their designer, Mizzie, who listened to what we wanted and worked hard to achieve all of our requirements within very limited space including a couple of late changes. Her ideas were very sensible such as having a right-hand draining board to achieve more usable worktop space.
All the required appliances were included at sensible market prices and there was no subsequent alteration to the originally agreed contract price. We are so pleased with the finished article which complements the other works we have had done to the property since purchasing early 2025 including a fully refurbished bathroom. We recommend the whole team highly including the very skilled Matt their fitter for whom nothing was too much trouble.”

We appreciated being able to contact Phil at any time for clarification on details and for regular updates. The communication was first class. He did not try to impose his own ideas over top of what we initially asked for but enhanced the design to add more impact.
We liked the decorated splashback over the sink which added an interesting feature to the kitchen and broke up the continuous mono-coloured splashbacks around the rest of the kitchen. It brings our home up to date in one of the most important rooms and offers a contemporary contrast to our more traditionally furnished rooms.
The team were very professional, and nothing was too much trouble if we wanted to make changes. Communication was very good between trades. We appreciated the early starts and everyone turning up on time.
I would just like to add that Phil was pro-active in dealing with any issues and keeping us regularly informed on progress. All the trades involved did a fantastic job.”

Phil took us through from requirements, to final design and was able to accommodate all the requirements that we had, which took a number of iterations. The Nobilia range is extensive with some great design touches that we could not find in other kitchens. Phil was able to provide example doors for us to take back to our kitchen to see how the matches would work, and Nobilia had colours available that we could not find elsewhere.
The render images of the kitchen were very high quality and enabled us to fully visualise how the final design would appear. We would have no hesitation in recommending Gerald Giles Kitchens and Phil.”
